This site news (reported by Jing Wenjing) On April 14, Andrey Pavlovich Mekhovich, Vice-Rector of Vitebsk State University (Belarus), led an educational delegation on a visit to theuniversity. The symposium was attended by Sun Qiyou, Deputy Party Secretary and President of theuniversity, Xin Aimei, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President, alongside heads of relevant departments including the School of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, Department of Art and Design, School of Early Childhood Education, and InternationalSchool.

During the meeting, Sun Qiyou extended a warm welcome to Andrey Pavlovich Mekhovich and his delegation. He provided an overview of theuniversity’s educational initiatives and international cooperation efforts, emphasizing that as Vitebsk Region (Belarus) and Shandong Province are sister regions, the two sides should strengthen educational exchanges, pool educational resources, carry forward the China-Belarus friendship, and jointly write a new chapter in bilateral educational collaboration for the new era.

In response, Andrey Pavlovich Mekhovich expressed sincere gratitude for theuniversity’s hospitality. He introduced Vitebsk State University’s academic profile and disciplinary strengths, noting the high compatibility between the two institutions in talent cultivation and program offerings. He further proposed precision alignment of disciplines to ensure fruitful outcomes in future cooperation.

The two sides exchanged views on faculty and student exchanges, joint degree programs (bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral), and reached preliminary consensus on collaboration in fields such as preschool education. Witnessed by attendees, the two institutions formally signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for Cooperation.

This meeting marked the official establishment of inter-university relations between the two parties and served as a new milestone for theuniversity’s in-depth collaboration with Belarusian higher education institutions.

The delegation visited the Preschool Education Training Center, the New Energy VehicleTrainingCenter, the Intelligent ManufacturingTrainingCenter, the Digital Exhibition ofUniversityAchievements, and theUniversityMuseum.
