This site news (reported by Jing Wenjing) On the morning of May 12,the Opening Ceremony of Capacity Building Program for Ethiopian Teachers was held atZiboPolytechnic University(ZBPU). Present at the event weretheleaderof the universityXin Aimei, three visiting teachers from Ethiopia’s Wingate Polytechnic College, as well as relevant headsfromthe School of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data and the InternationalSchool.

During the meeting,Ms Xin Aimeiprovided an overview of the university's profile and its international engagement initiatives, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to fully supporting the current training program. She expressed the university’s readiness to leverage this training as a foundation for establishing a sustainable collaborative framework with Ethiopia, aiming to forge a new milestone in China-Ethiopia vocational education cooperation.

Sun Bin, Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, outlined theuniversity’s academic strengths and detailed the training curriculum designed for Ethiopianteachers.

Haymanot Taddesse,representativeof theEthiopian teacher, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the strong support and thoughtful arrangements. “The program’s focus on AI, big data, and software development directly addresses our local challenges,” he remarked, anticipating substantial outcomes from this China-Africa knowledge exchange initiative.

The intensive program combines technical modules (AI, VR simulation, cybersecurity, big data, and software development) with immersive Chinese cultural experiences. This dual approach not only equips Ethiopian educators with cutting-edge technical skills but also serves as a platform for cultural diplomacy-sharing China’s developmental narratives while contributing to the China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era.
